Cheapest Quartz Countertop

What are some name of less expensive quartz countertop companies?

Hanstone is the cheapest I have found so far,
Cambria one of the most expensive
Ceaserstone is pricey too
Anything made in Taiwan or Japan or China?

The price will depend on if the fabricator has to order the tops in already fabricated or if they can do it themselves.

For instance, my company orders Zodiaq quartz slabs in and then we can fabricate them in our own shop. Hanstone is actually more expensive because we are not a certified distributor or fabricator, therefore, someone else needs to do it for us creating another "middleman". I would shop around and ask if they fabricate themselves and see if you can get a feel for what brand you should be looking for. LG Viatera quartz is also another quartz material you may want to look at. LG's HiMac solid surface is very competitive, I would imagine their quartz would be as well.

Some big boxes (such as Lowe's and Home Depot) have set pricing and programs with specific companies such as DuPont, LG, Silestone, etc and those materials are more reasonable because they get better deals from their vendors because of how large they are.

Another lead you may look into, is finding a Formica distributor nearby. Formica has discontinued their quartz distribution and you may be able to find what you need at a discounted price since the slabs are probably just taking up space.

Good Luck!!!!

Worktop in laminate form compared to granite and solid surfaces

Worktops
Worktops in laminate form are gaining in popularity. Fortunately, the colors and the patterns have come a long way. There are many more to choose from." There are even patterns made now that try to imitate the look of wood or stone, such as and granite. A laminate worktop is a fraction of the cost of granite worksurface.

Worktop Styles
There are many colors, patterns and textures available in laminate worktops so you are sure to find a worktop that complements your kitchen.
you can find a great examples from top manufacturers such as Bushboard, Axiom and Duropal, technology has come a long way in the last few years where laminate is concerned.

Affordable Worktops
Laminate, being the cheapest material also has its disadvantages though, that must be taken into consideration, the one major drawback, of this kind of worktop, is that it is not a solid material. Solid surface countertops are as close to the real thing as you can get. It mimics the feel and appearance of a stone worktop but is less expensive than granite or quartz and usually a lot easier to maintain. but it is not as economical as a worktop in laminate form

Worktop Maintenance
Laminate is simple to maintain and clean, requiring no special upkeep but it is also easily damaged. it is difficult to repair. There are products available that will cover up the damage for a short time, yet these quick fixes are usually noticeable and do not last very long. But, if you are installing the laminate as a temporary solution to your budget in the first place, and planning on replacing your countertops in the future with a different material, the economical advantage far outweighs the drawbacks.
