How is travertine?

Now that you know the varieties of tile travertine, there are certain things you should consider when buying tiles. First things first, focus on the type of travertine that best suits your needs. If you are looking for rustic finish you need is either fell or chipping, while for the areas contemporary, sharp and full, polished or brushed tiles recommended. Second, make sure you buy the best quality stone. Some varieties of travertine are as follows,

travertine soft / hard travertine: softer version of travertine is less expensive and feels cheap to the touch. You can perform a simple experiment to determine the quality. Take a small piece of stone and try to tease out the edges. If the edges crumble easily, there is a strong possibility that the pictures are of soft material. Soft Travertine is not recommended to be established on the ground, because it can cause problems in a timely manner.

Samples: Samples are only guidelines and not guaranteed, it is still recommended that you go through some samples to determine the quality of the material. In cases of 10x10 m samples will be supplied by the seller that do not necessarily state characteristics stone. If you are working on large projects, for samples larger companies have a better idea about the variation of the stone.

Change: Less variation means higher prices, while more variation translates into lower prices.
