New Kitchen Design

Suggestions for kitchen cabinets (color and style). ??

In the early stages of designing the kitchen of our new home. This is a galley kitchen. The dining room extends beyond the kitchen and do not want to put any bar to eat at the ends of the cabinets. I feel this will only close the area. From the kitchen, dining and greatroom is an open floor plan, you will use hardwood throughout this area. I'm leaning towards the French cream with a glaze. It will be a small kitchen. So my cabinets must be designed to use space very efficiently. I will not be able to have many top wall cabinets, and I would like to use glass doors of some doors to "dress" look. If you can suggest a site to design a kitchen that would be great. (Not HGTV, does not help me) Countertop colors?? I will probably use a granite.

I think in black and white is a timeless color combination for a kitchen. You can really class and make the space look great, if you put the right colors. A nice black cherry wood as well.
